Nothing like a GWB press conference to start your day off right. It really was quite funny. Everything is the fault of the Democrats, we'd solve the recession we're not calling a recession if Congress would just make the tax cuts permanent, and we should all think locally and sustainably by allowing drilling in Alaska. He laughed, he joked, he said "uhhhh" alot. It hasn't been confirmed by official transcripts, but Peter's pretty sure he ended the whole thing by saying to the press "enjoy." Enjoy, what, exactly? The mockery you've made of this country in eight years? The bed we made by electing you?
No really. It was funny.
Almost as funny as Reverend Wright saying he's hoping for a VP spot thereby terrifying every American. It was a joke, by the way. Wright saying he'd be up for VP. A joke. Unfortunately unless Obama gets on the press about this we're looking at a potentially fatal situation.
Which is kind of funny too.
Oh how much do I want to go to Tres Lobos tonight for a supper of frozen margaritas and anything smothered in mole sauce? I'm hoping one of us gets some poems accepted today thereby allowing us the perfect excuse for a celebration.

wow, you make me feel like i actually missed out by not seeing this. i'm sure the internet can help me out if i really feel that serious. i am really curious about the "enjoy". i am imagining him saying "enjoy" while thinking "fuck you" or "enjoy, motherfuckers". i think eight years of dealing with the kind of people who are in the white house press pool would have me at their throats without a doubt. if bush had any class, his final press conference would end with his best nixon impression telling the press they "won't have george dubya bush to kick around any more".
