I love Charles. I do. He's adorable and growing and purring. And he sleeps real nice like when you need to spend a day in bed.
This was not the best time to get a kitten.
Cat? Yes. Kitten? Obnoxious.
I am within striking distance of the skirt despite Charles. I have become the heavy. The one who holds the squirting water bottle.
To do:
Let Charles type:
++++++++

Oh look! I crossed something off my list!

typing one handed. this could take awhile.
I have a purr factory parked on my lap who tends to only like hands if they're petting him. Typing fingers make him crazy so this might be short depending upon how well Mr. Charles Simic Furpants behaves.
I'm not sure what possessed us to think right now would be a good time to get a kitten. We haven't moved and have no date yet when we can expect to move. I am looking at some pretty major upheaval at work over the next few weeks. And there's a little ceremony thing happening in a few weeks that, though fun, might also mean a little bit of stress.
A kitten who demands a fair amount of attention, considers knitting needles and yarn toys, and follows me around. Everywhere. Mewling.
He's adorable.
We saw "Tree of Life" this weekend which I'm not going to talk about other than to say this: I thought the medium of film was dead as an art form. And then I saw this movie and knew there was hope. And we watched (and..ahem..bought in order to watch...) season 2 of Friday Night Lights which was only disappointing because it was written during the writers' strike so the season finale is way underwhelming. Plus there's that whole Landry and Tyra are murderers subplot which was so absurd it was funny. As our public library is currently missing a copy of this season, I suspect this copy will be donated.
Speaking of our public library, it was a heck of a week and it looks like this next one will be as well. I had an interview last Wednesday for the Circulation Supervisor position and have another interview scheduled for Friday afternoon for one of the Assistant II positions in the Children/Teen Department. Who knows where I'll land. I know I'm lucky to be considered for both positions and am awfully grateful when this is over I'll at least still be employed in some capacity.
Tomorrow: drop off laundry, open new bank account, go to BPW to set up new automatic bill pay because for some reason you can't do that ONLINE, drop off 3 garbage bags full of books to Goodwill, go to work and hopefully maybe possibly find out if I maybe hopefully possibly got a new job.
And knit any time Charles is asleep anywhere other than my lap.
